L**ooking for strong CDP's with experience in Hot Kitchen or Grill section.**

This is a contract role for the busy Cape Town season with an opportunity to extend. Your tasks will be related primarily to cooking food on the grill and pans. This will include braising and grilling meat, fish & vegetables and other types of food as needed. You will need to be capable of working in a team, have strong communication skills and work under extreme pressure at times, while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Grill various meat & fish cuts with a high degree of skill, while upholding brand standards
- Preparation of various sauces, vegetables & related side dishes.
- Daily operations such as maintaining stock levels & food preparations in accordance with brand recipes, insuring strict FIFO & food health and safety procedures and setting up work station in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean, sanitary & functional working environment at all times
- Assist with daily & weekly food stock takes
- Assist in maintaining good food cost by ensuring mínimal wastage
- Reposting any wastage, breakages or operational challenges to line manager (chef) asap

**Requirements**:

- Previous restaurant experience as a grill cook, with recent contactable references
- 1- 2 years trackable experience (essential)
- Proficient english
- Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-pasted environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, public holidays and double shifts
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of and willing to embrace important food health and safety guidelines
- Willing to continue learning and improving your skills
- Ability to adapt to short notice menu changes

**Job Type**: Temp to perm
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From R7 000,00 per month
