Position Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Install solar PV systems, including mounting solar panels, installing inverters, and connecting electrical components.
- Perform site assessments and determine optimal locations for solar panel placement, considering electrical safety and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with South African solar regulations, electrical codes, and safety standards during installations.
- Conduct wiring, conduit installations, and electrical connections for solar PV systems, following industry best practices.
- Test and commission solar energy systems to ensure proper functioning, efficiency, and safety.
- Troubleshoot solar system issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of installed solar systems, identifying and addressing any performance or safety concerns.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding system operation and maintenance.
- Stay updated on the latest solar technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to solar installations and electrical codes.

**Requirements**:

- Valid Wireman's Certification issued by the Department of Labor in South Africa.
- Proven experience in solar panel installation and solar energy system integration, with a minimum of [X] years of relevant work experience.
- Thorough knowledge of South African solar regulations, electrical codes, and safety standards.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting solar system blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.

- Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to customers.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Additional certifications in solar panel installation or renewable energy systems.
- Experience in conducting solar energy system inspections and assessments.
- Knowledge of battery storage systems and off-grid solar solutions.
- Proficiency in using solar energy monitoring tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of energy-efficient practices and solar system optimization.
