**Responsibilities**:
**Accountabilities**:

- Regulatory Affairs Discipline Approver for ingredient Specifications.
- Learn, understand and uphold the PepsiCo Global Ingredient Standard and Supplier Standard, and become proficient in the PepsiCo systems/IT Applications associated to spec writing.
- Conduct gap analysis of legacy specifications against PepsiCo Global Ingredient Standards. Drive gap closure with/through function team members.
- Support the Specification Writer on providing guidance to supplier in completing the relevant regulatory requirements of the specification in the following key areas:

- Ingredient Composition
- All Chemical, physical and other parameter requirement.
- Claims/Compliance related with QA/FS
- Food Safety Requirements
- Allergen
- Test method and limit of regulated parameters
- Ingredient Micro sensitive assessment.
- Other Spec General information
- Review the Regulatory information and requirements for the ingredients to ensure they are met, identify gaps and request further information and connect with Specification Writer to resolve this with the supplier and work with Functional SMEs (Regulatory Affairs) as needed for guidance and escalation.
- Validate correct migration of data to the Specification system, includes review of the information and supporting documents/evidence collected from the supplier.
- Work with Specification Writers to review and align the specification changes and support communication with vendors for acceptance on specification change as needed.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of systems related to creation of specifications as may be required. Report gaps, roadblocks or findings and support on finding solutions and help facilitate closure with IT SMEs

Qualifications:
**Key Skills / Requirements**:

- 3 - 5 years Professional work experience gained in Food Regulatory Affairs, Food Safety-related roles or Foods and Beverage Product Development, QA/QC, Food Analytical experience or other Foods-related FMCG in a technical role. Specification writing experience is an advantage.
- Proficient in interpreting and assessing complex Regulatory and Legal technical information and issues and seek alignment towards workable solutions.
- Well-versed on Microsoft Office Suite
- Confident and able to speak or present to senior leaders when needed.
- Learning agility, self-motivation and desire for continuous self-improvement.
- Team player and works well with cross-functional, cross-regional and cross-cultural teams.
- Can work independently and has initiative for problem solving.
