Trainee Programmer

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Matric (Grade 12).
Successful completion of a programming aptitude test.
Completion of or in the process of studying a relevant IT qualification would be an advantage.
BASIC WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum of two years claims administration and/or contributions experience and/or computer operations experience.
Must be fully computer literate: MS Word, Advanced Excel, Access and Project.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Must have good IT skills and aptitude for programming.
Mathematical aptitude and good analytical / problem solving skills.
Planning and organizational skills.
CONDENSED LIST OF DUTIES:
Assist in developing and maintaining programmes according to System’s Analyst specifications and satisfaction.
Write programmes according to set standards and submit to the System Analyst for review.
Assist in testing programmes accurately.
Produce test results that are to the System’s Analyst satisfaction.
Create test data where applicable.
Ensure documentation is updated and / or created for all new programmes or enhancements to existing programmes.
Create Job Control language where applicable.
Ensure Change Control procedures are adhered to.
**Salary**: From R22,000.00 per month
