About the Role

The Construction Estimator & Buyer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project plans and specifications, and collaborating with stakeholders to manage budgets, procurement, and timelines. You’ll work closely with site managers, suppliers, and project teams to support efficient project delivery and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze architectural and engineering drawings to determine scope of work
- Prepare detailed take-offs and quantify materials
- Develop accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors
- Obtain up-to-date pricing from suppliers and manufacturers
- Coordinate with site managers and drivers to ensure timely ordering and delivery
- Monitor budgets and recommend cost-saving measures where appropriate
- Identify potential project risks and factor contingencies into estimates
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to support project delivery
- Stay current with industry standards, building codes, and construction methods

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in a construction estimating role
- Strong industry knowledge and network of supplier/subcontractor contacts
- Ability to read and interpret detailed construction drawings and documentation
- Highly accurate, detail-focused, and organized
- Proven track record of budgeting and cost control
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Contactable references required
