**Description**:

- Determine and drives strategic direction for department and continuously improve and optimize stock control procedures
- Accountable for the day-to-day decision-making in operations as it pertains to the department efficiencies, cost, and risk
- Monitor and control stock levels, usage and ordering to ensure operations have adequate material to achieve efficiencies but avoiding excessive surplus
- Administrate systems with regards to stock ordering, received, usage, waste. Assist with the setup of Bill of materials
- Source, vendor selection and negotiations of stock outside of central purchasing scope
- Prepare detailed reports on stock operations, stock levels, and adjustments
- Control administrative operations such as budget planning, report preparation
- Monitor and report on stock waste, and escalate issues to management
- Coordinate all stock stakes, variance analysis of all stock and stock counts and put corrective measures in place
- Ensure that all procedures in the department are followed according to Policies and Procedures and that all required records are completed accurately and timeously, with any deviations reported to management as soon as possible
- Ensure good communication on all levels to ensure effective and efficient operations
- Overseeing the selection, training, personal development planning and performance of staff
- Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by management

**Qualifications**:

- BCom or relevant degree or diploma
- Relevant stock management experience
- Effective handling of detailed information and consistent attention to detail
- Great interpersonal, team-working and leadership skills
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and numerical abilities are crucial
- Ability to perform calculations and prepare detailed reports
- Good business and/ or financial acumen
- Customer relationship management
- Ability to work with BOMs
- Great negotiation skills
- Knowledge of stock management systems
