**About the role**

We are seeking a proactive and skilled **Maintenance Technician** to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing general preventive maintenance and corrective repairs of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds. Under close supervision, you will assist in monitoring building system operations and performance, ensuring everything functions efficiently and safely.

You will utilize a variety of trade skills, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling, to maintain the overall condition of the facility. In addition to technical expertise, you will demonstrate strong administrative skills to support maintenance operations, including scheduling, tracking service requests, and managing inventory.

**What you will bring**
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience and/or training
- Valid driver's license may be required
- Proficiency in general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds
- Strong hands-on experience in multiple trades, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling
- Ability to monitor and maintain building systems to ensure optimal performance and operation
- Knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair
- Experience in maintaining and repairing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure safety and functionality
- Ability to write routine reports and respond to common inquiries or complaints
- Effective verbal communication with clients, co-workers, and supervisors
- Ability to calculate simple figures, such as percentages
- Proficiency in using personal computers, PDAs, and work order systems
- Basic skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift/carry heavy loads (50 lbs. or more)
- Understanding of safety procedures and protocols

This role requires a combination of technical expertise, strong administrative abilities, and the physical stamina to handle the demands of maintenance tasks, all while maintaining effective communication with team members and clients.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds, ensuring everything runs efficiently.

Utilize a variety of trade skills including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling for repair and maintenance tasks.

Monitor and maintain building systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.

Handle maintenance requests and track progress to ensure timely completion.

Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.

Maintain an organized work environment, including inventory management for supplies and equipment.

Support administrative functions such as updating work order systems, scheduling maintenance tasks, and preparing routine reports.

Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and visitors.
