**Job Title**: Technical Sales Support Professional**

**Mission/Function of the role**:
This experienced professional is expected to perform technical, operational and administrative support to sales processes, remotely and ad-hoc in the office, for the customer support organization in order to effectively support sales with technical information and quotation related services needed to integrate our customer services and products into respective customers' technical infrastructure or their products.

**What are the responsibilities of the role?**

**Service Call Handling**
- Monitoring all inbound channels for customer service support requests
- Register new calls
- Escalate urgent items
- Update Customer
- Administration of customer request data from receipt to resolution
**Service Quotation Management**
- Receives site surveys and related install base detail from others and use it to develop product / service offering and / or commissioning plans.
- Analyses customers' technical setup in order to better judge on aspects of product and service integration.
- Develops, designs and completes customer proposals in technical aspects (Proposal Engineer).
- Completes technical analyses and supports proposal process at any stage as part of the sales team.
- Performs the review of task plans, drawings and installation schematics and provides guidance in the phase of product and service integration.
- Support completion of service contracts (i.e. planning and estimation of labor categories, rates, material cost, etc.).
- Manage respective sub-contractors and internal technical personnel’s outputs i.t.o defining what is required as inputs to complete offers.
- Work as part of multi disciplinary team (sales, commercial, technical) to complete offers.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
Relevant Heavy Current Engineering diploma/degree or Equivalent.

Demonstrated track record within the CS Environment Industrial Electrification and Automation environment/field

Must have minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Technical Internal Sales environment, with a focus on industrial automation, electrical and variable speed drive systems.

Familiarity with the Mining,Oil and gas or petrochemical industry is an advantage.

Must have indepth knowledge of MV Drives and Motors

Knowledge of Industrial Automation Technology Advantageous (PLC/SCADA Systems)

**Competencies**:
Above average computer literacy with advanced competence with MS Excel & Word, and excellent administrative and organisational skills

Medically fit and willing to travel to and work on industrial sites in South Africa and the SADC region when required

Team player who works well under high stress environment with others

Takes ownership and solves problems to ensure an excellent customer experience

Self-motivated, ethical and professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Able to work accurately and efficiently in a high-pressure environment where customer response time is critical.

Client-centric approach to problem solving while maintaining compliance to regulated processes

Be willing to work flexible time and at times after hours as needed to resolve urgent enquiries

Has a clear understanding of cost and selling price calculation principles to ensure that quotations meet organisational profit margin targets.

Understands basic principles of import and export logistics, including repairs, returns and service exchange management

Is familiar with critical dimensions of customer service performance such as product lifecycle management, reliability and availability, and spare parts stock management
