Business Intelligence Specialist

We have an urgent requirement for a Business Intelligence Specialist who will be responsible for the company's Business Intelligence Platform and for all Global Business Intelligence solutions.
**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**:
The Business Intelligence Specialist is part of the Global Centre of Insights and Analytics (CIA) Team who is responsible for the client’s Business Intelligence Platform and for all Global Business Intelligence solutions This specific position forms part of the Solutions Vertical Team who is responsible for the design, development, testing, maintenance and support of the Business Intelligence Reporting and Data Warehouse for the client’s Solutions Division This requires an in-depth knowledge of underlying source systems and close collaboration with IT developers and business users from various departments in the Solutions Division in different countries The main purpose of the Business Intelligence Specialist is to work with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design and develop Power BI Dashboard and perform UAT testing with the Business Stakeholders
**KEY SKILLS REQUIREMENTS**:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience designing and developing Business Intelligence Dashboards and Reports
- 2-3 years’ experience in Analysing and Profiling of Data
- Tool - Tableau, QlikView, etc. (required)
- **PowerBI Dashboard experience**
- Advanced Microsoft SQL (SQL Scripting, with SQL query optimization knowledge) (required)
- Experience with the rest of the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack (Power App, Power Automate, Power Query, MDX, DAX and SQL SSAS)
- Proven track record & experience in translating business requirements & data analysis into insights & recommendations for business partners
- Experience in producing Business Intelligence Specifications (translating business requirements into BI Requirements Specification documents)
- Excellent English communication skill (written & oral), with the ability to present ideas in a user-friendly way
- Logistics background advantageous
- Vaccination preferred
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- University Degree/College Diploma in the field of computer science or Business Intelligence along with work experience in related field
- MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook - advanced
**SCOPE OF WORK**:
- Be responsible for the analysis and documenting of BI requirements
- Participate in collaborative design sessions for BI solutions
- Responsible for the development of new and for the maintenance of existing Power BI reports (from simple list reports to complex management reports, dashboards & visualizations)
- Perform quality control & UAT testing of BI solutions before deployment to the production environment (includes backend data and front-end testing)
- Provide adequate documentation for all design and development activities, as well as enhance existing documentation if necessary
- Perform R&D tasks to explore new functionality in BI Tools and find innovative solutions to BI requirements
- Adhere to BI best practices and existing technologies Assist in reviewing and enhancing best practices
- Support and assist users of the BI environment
- Participate in Global CIA BI architecture design sessions and forums
**Salary**: From R50,000.00 per month
