Required Skills / Experiences - 1-2+ years of Software Development experience in a variety of programming languages - Strong communication skills and interest in a pair-programming environment - Passion for growing your skills, tackling interesting work and challenging problems - BS in Computer Science or equivalent Desired Skills / Experiences- Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) and agile methodologies - Experience working directly with clients, leading projects, and mentoring engineers - Ability to travel to work and client offices - Continuous delivery practices to improve software delivery speed. - Excellent communication, analytical skills and decision-making ability in collaborative environments - Attention to detail and ability to identify test data requirements - Time management - Troubleshooting skills - Experience in automating tests as part of CI/CD - Good understanding of HTTP, APIs (The fundamentals) - Solid of understanding XML / JSON - Scripting languages like Bash and/or Python - Database and query languages knowledge - Good understanding of frameworks and libraries like JavaScript, jQuery, TypeScript, HTML, CSS - Solid understanding of testing frameworks i.e. Junit, Selenium,Cypress - Comfortable with stubbing tools like wire mock/hoverfly and other tools like SOAPUI and POSTMAN If any of this sounds good to you, and do, you love clean code and efficiency in software? As a software consultant, you will work on a wide variety of projects alongside and for our clients. You will play an essential role in leading these projects such as pothole detection or even computer vision. You will work closely with data scientists, data engineers, and even UX designers to build some of the best products on the continent. Overall Job Purpose: - Exercises the work product / developed product in a simulated deployment setting to determine its fitness for use and purpose - Validates testing requirements, reviews test plans and ensures appropriate test coverage. - Provides expertise in developing testing infrastructure, authoring frameworks, performing market analysis and providing technical leadership / strategic direction to the testing organization - Leverage existing test cases and develop efficient new test cases to validate that business requirements are met. Testers support test cases and validation of the test case results for the products under test.
