**Responsibilities**- Support the R&D technologist in the execution of product development and proof of principle through to scale-up activities in-plant by working closely within the R&D team as well as selected crossfunctional working group member.- Compile R&D project timelines and trial protocols to ensure required support is available for use.- Plan resources for trials and when needed align priorities with R&D technologist and relevant project managers.- With support from manager, adapt experimental protocol to suit experiment as it progresses.- With support from manager, liaise with SC/OPS to schedule, organise low complexity trials.- Draft R&D technical data such as trial protocol and finished pack standards with approval from R&D technologist / Manager. **Qualifications**- Graduate in a Food Technology, Food Science, Biotechnology or Chemical Engineering looking to build a long term career within R&D.- Good technical and analytical skills, basic knowledge of statistics, ability to interpret data and distil into useful and actionable information- Understanding of and experience of working with experimental design.- - Food Industry Experience - 1 yr or great suitable- Supportive team player with an accurate, methodical, tidy and reliable approach.- Excellent people skills.- Results driven, demonstrate an ability to persevere.- High degree of self-motivation combined with good organisational and interpersonal skills.- Eager to learn and use initiative, self-starter.- Integrity, Safeguard the Company’s designs, formulations, processes and reputation in all matters- Creative thinking, be able to generate creative, workable ideas within the scope of projects.- Driving License will be an advantage. **“PepsiCo is an Equal Opportunity Employer in line with the Employment Equity Act"
