A relevant and recognised Project Management qualification at Level 7 on the 10 Level NQF or Level 6 on the 8 Level NQF, or equivalent.
An NQF Level 8 Project Management qualification on the 10 Level NQF or Level 7 on the 8 Level NQF will be an added advantage.
A minimum of three years of proven experience in information management and data management. The focus is on proven project management experience.
More than three years of relevant experience in the management of verification of qualifications will be an added advantage.
Duties : Managing project staff, including but not limited to:

- Managing projects to ensure timeframes are met.
- Embark on business development activities to attract and increase projects.
- Monitor, evaluate, and further enhance quality, processes, and procedures for continuous improvement.
- Ensure that project staff follow the relevant processes to meet deliverables.
- Monitor and oversee and sign -off on the deliverables of the project staff.
- Plan, organise, and document activities to ensure the necessary focus, achievement of delivery targets, and availability of performance data for auditing purposes.
- Submit reports as requested
- Perform and assist with any other tasks allocated by Senior Manager Authentications Services
- Ensure that appointed project independent contractors, in the 3 sub-units are managed to ensure value for money as per minimum deliverables outlined below:
The below outlines the deliverables expected for each independent contractor in the three sub-units, over a 40-hour period:
1. Verifications sub-unit
- Contacting information partners - 100%
- Pre - employment - Distribution and verification of South African qualifications - 500 records per person
- Verification Letters - Processing and generating quotes - 120 records
- Reconciliation, Printing and Dispatch of letters - 120 letters

2. Ratification of Foreign Qualifications sub-unit
- Printing of SCoE’s - 200
- Reactivation of files - 250
- Non-national / non-compliant letters - 50
- Comparisons - 115
- Verification initiation - 100

3. Client Services sub-unit
- Printing of labels for courier of certificates - 200
- Processing of incoming courier mail-verification responses - 100%

Period of contract - For initial period of 6 months (extension dependent on new projects awarded to SAQA).
Note: Payment is linked to deliverables and will be disbursed based on progress against the deliverable.
