Specification: A leading steel service center is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee their operations.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Production Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within the metal/steel works industry
- Proven track record of successfully managing production processes and teams
- In-depth knowledge of fabrication techniques, machinery, and materials used in the metalworking industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards achieving production targets
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing operational challenges
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee day-to-day production activities, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to production schedules
- Develop and implement production plans and strategies to optimize workflow and maximize output
- Monitor production metrics and performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed
- Lead and mentor production teams, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, procurement, and quality assurance, to coordinate production activities and resolve any issues that may arise
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures and promoting awareness of safety practices among staff
- Manage inventory levels and production resources to minimize waste and reduce costs
- Prepare reports and presentations on production performance, trends, and forecasts for management review
