Flexographic Printer

This position is responsible for the operation of a flexographic printing press. The operator will posses a combination of knowledge, skill, and abilities to carry out work activities related to the operation of the flexographic printing press. Specific duties include: - Set up, adjust, maintain and operate a Mark Andy 16" - 20" flexographic press - Install Anilox rollers, plates. inks and dies into proper stations, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality of production - Notify supervision of needed repairs and replacement parts - Deliver finished material to MFG areas as required - Ensure that assigned equipment is properly maintained and in safe operating condition - Understands all documents related to the printing process, and adhere to specification requirements * **Qualifications**: - Minimum - Matric - Must have AT LEAST 1-3 years *FLEXO PRINTING* related experience with ability to write and read simple instructions - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals - Must be able to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical test or have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience - Should be able to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division - Must be able to maintain good attendance and be willing to work overtime, as needed - Must be flexible in working any shift **Salary**: R12,500.00 - R20,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate: - Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
