The Corporate Social Investment (CSI) Manager at the V&A Waterfront plays a crucial role in helping the company achieve its goals by creating positive social and environmental impact and generating value for all stakeholders involved. To achieve this, the CSI manager is responsible for collaboratively developing the company's social investment strategy, programs, and initiatives; identifying social issues that align with the V&A Waterfront's strategy; partnering with relevant stakeholders; as well as planning and managing projects and budgets to ensure the successful implementation of social investment initiatives that create shared value for both the company and society.

The CSI Manager must provide strategic input and support to the overall V&A Waterfront, ensuring that social responsibility and sustainability are integrated into all aspects of the company's operations. This involves working closely with internal teams to ensure that social responsibility and sustainability are incorporated into marketing, communications, and human resources strategies. The role also requires effective relationship management with external stakeholders, such as non-profit organisations, community groups, and government agencies, while balancing the needs and interests of different groups to create sustainable and impactful initiatives.

**Job Objectives**:
**Social Investment Strategy Development and Implementation**
- Develop and implement the V&A Waterfront's social investment strategy, with a focus on creating shared value for the company and society.
- Provide input and support on strategic plans that align with the V&A Waterfront's social impact strategy and overall business objectives.
- Identify key social issues and trends relevant to the company and its stakeholders.

**Project Management**
- Collaboratively plan, coordinate, and manage a broad range of projects across the business, ensuring that all projects align with the V&A Waterfront's social impact strategy and create shared value for the company and society.
- Manage contracts and set up metrics for success.
- monitor and evaluate the impact of activities across the portfolio.
- Identify potential risks associated with social investment initiatives and develop risk management strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Conduct regular reviews of social investment programs to ensure they are aligned with the company's strategic objectives and risk management strategies.

**Financial Management and Admin**
- Manage budgets, process payments, and carry out administrative duties such as market scanning, project-based research, data capturing, and monthly reporting.
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of various reports and submissions and manage meeting and diary schedules.

**Stakeholder Management**
- Identify and engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including small businesses, city structures, advocacy groups, civil society stakeholders, tenants, and service providers.
- Identify beneficial relationships and opportunities as it relates to social impact and collaborate with various BU’s to ensure effective internal and external communication and exposure of project-based work.
- Identify potential partners and stakeholders who can collaborate on social investment initiatives and build relationships with them.
- Establish and manage partnerships with other organizations to maximize the impact of social investment initiatives.
- Engage in advocacy activities to raise awareness of the company's social investment initiatives and promote social change.

**People Management**
- Guide, support, lead, and performance manage relevant team members.
- Assist with the creation of a learning culture and environment within the team and greater business.
- Conduct capacity building activities to enhance the knowledge and skills of stakeholders within the business on social investment issues.

**Measure, Track and Report on Performance**
- Ensure and track social value strategy in line with national and global policy and collect and share key learnings with a range of external stakeholders.
- Formulate and prepare project reports.
- Ensure all internal and external stakeholders are informed of the progress of social investment initiatives.
- Produce regular reports on the impact and effectiveness of social investment programs.
- Use various communication channels to promote the company's social investment initiatives and build public awareness of the V&A Waterfront's commitment to sustainability.

**Research and Analysis**:

- Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging social issues and trends that may be relevant to the company and its stakeholders.
- Use data analysis tools to track the progress and impact of social investment programs and make data-driven decisions.

**Educational requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in social sciences, business administration, or related fields. A master's degree is an added advantage.
