Our Client a large global security solutions manufacturing conglomerate is wishing to appoint a Pricing and Commercial Excellence Manager for their Africa office, who will report directly to the Commercial Excellence Director.

**Purpose of the role**:
Manage Pricing and Implement the Commercial Excellence Program in Africa

**Main objectives of the role**:

- Take responsibility to coordinate and manage successful implementation of the Commercial Excellence program in streams of Recurring Revenue, Account Management and Planning, Pricing Excellence, Order to Cash and Specification.
- Provide leadership and strategic direction in value and segment pricing.
- Manage and coordinate the annual review process to deliver new price lists for implementation in line with the Company's strategy.
- Implement/manage margins, customer discount and rebate programs.
- Pricing - manage and coordinate the annual review process to deliver new price lists for implementation in line with the companies strategy.
- Sales training - coordinate with HR to implement strategy to ensure all Sales teams are properly supported with relevant training requirements.
- Customer satisfaction - where applicable support strategy to measure and track satisfaction levels via defined processes

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible to develop and maintain Commercial Excellence Program as per EMEIA guidelines in the Organisations Africa office.
- Develop and maintain constructive business relationships, specifically with Sales, Product, Service, Finance and Logistic Teams.
- Data extraction, preparation and analysis via Excel, Power BI or other tools.
- Maintain a library of competitor pricing and product information to support annual price review process and setting of new product prices.
- Support Product Management in formulating price levels for new products; manage and coordinate process for agreement on special prices.
- Provide Senior Management with relevant presentations, reports and updates on regular basis.
- Introduce and manage a governance structure to agree and track Recurring Revenue, Account Management and Planning, Pricing Excellence, Order to Cash and Specification.
- Collate market data, both internally and externally, to formulate and monitor market share data across all relevant product groups.
- Identify, transfer and encourage adoption of best practice principles.
- Engage with responsible departments/individuals to use effective approach and planning by implementing Commercial Excellence program tools and methodologies.
- Encourage best practices and continuous improvement in the streams of Recurring Revenue, Account Planning, Specification and BIM.
- Create and maintain all policies related to the business in accordance with various departments responsible for Recurring Revenue, Account Planning, Pricing Excellence, Specification and BIM.
- Ensure all stakeholders are following the Commercial Excellence action plan for improvement; prepare and participate actively in the annual internal audits.
- Actively participate at the Company's EMEIA workgroups and, as required, in regional industry-related professional organisations to gather feedback and embrace new trends and standards
- Conduct price list optimisation projects as required to maximise profit opportunities specifically on C&D products (Long Tail).
- Support Product Management in formulating price levels for new products; manage & coordinate process for agreement on special prices.
**Preferred Qualifications and position Requirements**:

- A relevant B Degree
- Minimum 5 years experience in the Commercial area (Sales/Data Analysis/Finance/Pricing)
- Experience in a large matrix organisation will be advantageous
- Negotiation, organisation and planning skills
- Excellent command in MS Office (Word/Excel/Power Point)
- Prior experience with pricing tools/implementation/knowledge will be preferred
- Excellent communication and analytical skills; fluent in spoken and written English
- Expected to travel 20% of the time into Africa, and once travel bans are lifted EMEIA.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R800,000.00 - R950,000.00 per year
