Join an esteemed multidisciplinary consultancy as a Senior Environmental Scientist in our Port Elizabeth office

In this pivotal role, you will conduct thorough environmental assessments, ensure compliance with legal standards, and offer expert advice on the environmental implications of engineering projects.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma / degree in Environmental Management Services.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

The successful applicant will have a robust background in environmental science, a passion for sustainability, and strong leadership skills to guide interdisciplinary teams.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assess environmental risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Create innovative solutions that support our clients’ commitment to environmental stewardship.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies, prepare technical reports, and present findings to both internal teams and clients.

**Special Skills and Experience**:

- Contamination assessments.
- Site investigations.
- Environmental impact assessments and licenses.
- Environmental control.
- Adherence to safety, health, environmental, and quality systems.

**Technical Proficiency**:

- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).

**Required Qualifications**:

- MSc in Environmental Science, Management, Geology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Hydrogeology.
- Registered as a Professional Scientist with SACNASP.
- Registration as an EAP with EAPASA is a plus.

**Personality Traits**:

- Ethical and efficient.
- Strong delegation skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines consistently.

**Desired Skills**:

- Expertise in contamination assessments and environmental impact assessments.
- Knowledge of environmental licenses and legislation.
