Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
- Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
- Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
- Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
- Preparing procurement reports.
- Ensure smooth import of sourced raw materials and smooth exports of all finished goods.
- Prepare all documents necessary for import of raw materials thereof.
- Keep stock and make sure raw materials arrive in time for forecasted sales.
- Establish and maintain relationships with relevant service providers i.E. Warehousing, Clearing Agents, Freight forwarders etc.
- Negotiate rates with service providers in close collaboration with the commercial head.
- Organize production planning & communicate production needs with production itself.
- Arrange and lead sales and operations meetings to make sure forecast given by sales people is correct.
- Calculate and provide production costs insights based on products to sales for their costing calculation.
- Develop and obtain approval for annual business plans for a function or substantial business area, ensuring alignment with overall company business strategy; quantify business outcomes; detail expense and headcount budgets; and develop business cases for key projects, ensuring cross-functional integration.
- Identify and manage stakeholders to top management level, establishing needs/issues/concerns and responding to these in the required manner. Lead and coordinate the development of supply chain stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decisions.
- Lead and review planning activities for the overall supply chain in a complex manufacturing business, including all applicable processes/units/suppliers. Lead the design and development of the overall supply chain planning framework and systems.
- REQS
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
- Proven experience managing supply chain operations, minimum of 5 years
- Experience using supply chain management software and tools
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
- Management and leadership skills.

**Salary**: Up to R10,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Procurement/Supply Chain Management: 2 years (required)
