Position Description:
**An exciting opportunity has arisen within the TFG Design Centre. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced supervisor who will play an integral part in managing the sample floor and will be responsible for human resources, administration and logistics of the sample room.**
- Responsible for administration (registers and wages) and Human Resources of the machine floor as well as planning the lines
- Ensure garments are made on time and within the agreed turnaround times
- Ensure quality, targets and efficiencies of garments are achieved
- Solid understanding of the different fabric types for laying up and sewing
- Responsible for communicating between the staff and customers and liaising with CMTs
- Sound knowledge of patterns, garment construction and machines to ensure a factory friendly sample is produced
- Able to interpret and construct a garment from a sketch
- Ensure that development samples are meeting the required quality standards
- Matric
- 5 years manufacturing industry experience essential
- 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of pattern making and garment construction
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and people management
- Good organisation and planning skills/methodical approach;
- Be a good team player and display assertiveness;
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Analytical and Solution Driven
- Ability to influence is a key attribute for this role with mutual respect gained and maintained
