**Credit Controller**
- Location: Office-based, Umhlanga, Durban_
- Supporting the Shoreability Finance Team in the United Kingdom_

**About the Role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Take full ownership of assigned customer accounts, including the identification and management of overdue balances in accordance with company procedures.
- Support the resolution of customer disputes (e.g. equipment-related) to facilitate timely payments.
- Work closely with the Sales Ledger Administration team on tasks including credit balances, unallocated cash, and aged debt management.
- Administer the company’s Direct Debit scheme and manage payment arrangements where required.
- Provide assistance across other customer accounts as needed.
- Contribute to Sales Ledger projects and departmental initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and control.
- Manage incoming customer communications, including credit card payments and requests for supporting documentation.
- Support additional financial tasks, such as issuing invoices, managing “on stop” orders, and assisting with monthly statement processing.
- Provide cross-functional support within the Finance Department when required.
- Participate in training and development programmes as recommended by management.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

**Skills and Experience**
- Sound knowledge of finance and credit control principles.
- **Minimum of four years’ experience** in a credit control or related finance role (preferable).
- Strong customer service orientation and professional communication skills (verbal and written).
- Effective interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational capability.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in both South Africa and the United Kingdom.
