Excavator Operator

A EXCAVATOR Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and performing tasks such as excavation, loading, and maintenance while adhering to safety standards.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Operate Safely**: Ensure the safe operation of the machine in various conditions, following all safety protocols and regulations.
- **Pre-Start Checks**: Conduct pre-start checks on the equipment to ensure it is in good working order before operation.
- **Excavation and Loading**: Perform excavation, trenching, loading, and backfilling tasks as required on site.
- **Maintenance**: Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on the machine, keeping it clean and in good working condition.
- **Reporting**: Report any faults or issues with the equipment to the supervisor and maintain a log of work performed.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work effectively as part of a team, ensuring the safety of all personnel on site and adhering to company policies and procedures.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- **Experience**: A minimum of 2 years of experience operating a Excavator is required.
- **Licenses**: A valid Operating Compliance Certificate and a Driver’s Code B License are typically necessary.
- **Safety Conscious**: Strong awareness of safety practices and the ability to enforce safety standards on site.
- **Communication Skills**: Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.
- **Physical Fitness**: Ability to perform physical tasks and work in various weather conditions.

Salary is market related

Pay: R4 000,00 - R7 000,00 per month
