Assistant Front Office Manager

A large 4-star city centre hotel seeks an experienced Assistant Front Office Manager:
**PRIMARY FUNCTION**
The position exists to assist the Front Office Manager to effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the Front Office Department.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
1. Perform daily checks of all controls i.e. keys, adjustments/corrections, paid outs, high balance accounts, Guest ledger accounts, duty rota to meet occupancy trends.
2. Ensure VIPs are allocated rooms prior to arrival and check rooms.
3. Assist in preparation and execution Front Office action plan in line with the set objectives.
4. Ensure a memorable experience for guests, from welcome, check in and check out, room allocation and ensure all billing is done correctly and timeously
5. Check registration cards to ensure guest profiles have been captured correctly.
6. Ensure that check in and checkout procedures are strictly adhered to.
7. Avail oneself at all times to deal with customer queries, problems or complaints.
8. Assist in ensuring maximum room occupancy within the agreed yield management policy.
9. Check all department equipment to ensure it is in working order so that service delivery is not affected.
10. Assist in preparing monthly Front Office financial performances for presentation as per the stipulated format.
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
Diploma in Hotel Management
2-Years experience in a similar role in a large hotel
