Lead a team of data specialists that influence strategic decision making in Global Markets through sound science applied to good data. Applications are broad ranging and include;
- Developing insights to grow client revenue
- Analyzing Market behavior to guide risk management practices
- Developing risk/reward metrics and using these to optimize resource

allocation within Global Markets

**Job Description**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage a team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists, providing direction and guidance to support the Global Markets division's data and analytics needs.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to support business growth and improve operational efficiency.
- Work closely with sales and trading teams to identify and prioritize data-related initiatives.
- Utilize AWS data engineering and data analytics tools to collect, store, and process large volumes of data.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide data-driven insights to key stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data engineering and data analytics, and incorporate these technologies into the team's work as appropriate.
- Develop the Global Markets Data Architecture framework and ensure that this aligns with the principles of the wider Corporate and Investment Bank (“CIB”).
- Ensure the team's compliance with relevant regulations and data privacy requirements.

**Requirements**:

- Ideally a Ph.D. or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. computer science, statistics, mathematics, or engineering).
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering and data analytics.
- Strong understanding of AWS data engineering and data analytics tools (QuickSight, SageMaker etc.)
- Experience leading and managing a team of data analysts and engineers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement solutions to complex data-related challenges.
- Experience working in the financial services industry, specifically within a trading environment.
