Somerset West, South Africa Care Facility Full time

Are you a fun, caring, person? Do you love to entertain? The care facility is currently seeking an Activities Assistant.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepare for, encourage participation, and lead various activity programs such as arts and crafts, hymn sings, sing-a-longs, reminisce and recall, current events, discussion groups, indoor and outdoor active games, and table and word games.
- Provide input on scheduled activities.
- Assist residents on an out-of-facility trip
- Encourage residents to participate in daily activities, enhancing their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being
- Use your passion for serving others to motivate all residents to take an active part in their own health and wellness
- Carries out activities for residents based on their varied backgrounds, areas of concern, needs, and enjoyment
**Requirements**:

- Minimum secondary education: Grade 12
- Experience with seniors in a structured setting
- Ability to help develop creative and engaging programs
- Able to read, speak and write English fluently
- Ability to communicate easily and engage others in conversation
- Demonstrates patience and empathy when dealing with others in all circumstances
- Ability to assist residents in areas of programs and activities

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R5,000.00 - R6,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Somerset West, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
