**responsibilities**:
- Achieve year on year Total Consumer Revenue Growth as per the Branch Financial Performance Report for your Customer Portfolio
- Reduce Bad debts as a percentage of performing loans utilisation based on effective lending principals applied during approval
- Deliver exceptional Credit service that exceeds customers' expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions
- Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, SME’s, project managers and senior staff members
- Maintenance of expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and provision of proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders by general understanding of the RSA Companies Act, Tax, Commercial Law and legal issues relating to Security
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the economic environment, business risks and financial reports with the ability to relate such issues to specific business opportunities and the risk profile of individual clients
- Ensure average approval turnaround time against target to ensure retention of clients.
- Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements
- Identify transaction specific risks including credit, taxation, accounting and legal. Introduce risk mitigating measures as input to structure transactions in line with the risk of philosophy of the Bank
- Presentation and report writing skills (reports are presented to the Credit Committee and to the Board of Directors)
- Manage personal development to increase own skills and competencies
