**Key Responsibilities**
- Be willing to undergo training in braille and braille tools.
- Support the learner in accessing and engaging with classroom content using accessible formats (e.g., braille, audio, tactile tools).
- Collaborate closely with teachers to adapt lesson plans and materials where needed.
- Facilitate classroom participation, including note-taking, reading aloud, and orientation and mobility.
- Encourage and support social interaction with peers.
- Promote the learner’s independence, confidence, and self-advocacy.
- Work with the family and other professionals (e.g., therapists, orientation & mobility instructors) to support the learner’s educational and developmental goals.
- Maintain a respectful and empowering environment that upholds the dignity and abilities of the learner.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Experience working with children, ideally in an educational or support role.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn braille, assistive technology, and inclusive teaching practices.
- Patient, empathetic, and highly adaptable.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to inclusion.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years experience.
- Registered with SACE
- Police Clearance Certification.
- Fluent in both English and Afrikaans. Additional languages beneficial eg. French
- CV
- Documentation: Matric Certification and relevant degrees.
- Driver's license and own transport.
- Able to participate in sporting activities and extramural activities.

Pay: From R11 900,00 per month
