Sales Manager: Exports

An exciting opportunity exists with this company, Bounty Apparel, a diversified, multinational consumer brand business and the Apparel Division includes a number of well known aspirational brands.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
? To execute the wholesale growth strategy in new markets in Africa, beyond our South African base, that will drive sales and maximise profitability.
? Responsible for the execution of the Africa Export sales plan to achieve the agreed objectives and sales targets for the wholesale export channel.
? Generate leads and export sales for new territories as per the business development strategy.
? Implement various and best routes to markets depending on different territory anomalies.
? Manage partners in the key markets and the way they represent the brands within their countries.
? Manage the end-to-end sell in process to ensure successful range presentations. To organise and prepare for range launch and sell - in of seasonal product lines.
? Monitor sell-through in markets and work on commercial opportunities with distributors, WHSL partners and retailers for improvement.
? Set pricing, price adjustments and terms and conditions in conjunction with the Sales Executive. To also ensure customer compliance with trade term agreements.
? Keep abreast of emerging markets, market shifts with an awareness of new products and competition status, providing market and customer feedback.
? Build and promote strong commercial relationships with new and existing Clients by understanding their needs and objectives.
? Monitor account performance to understand the account’s priorities, challenges and successfully resolve issues of concern in a manner that builds the account relationship and revenue.
? To provide realistic plans and forecasts based on customer performance and to ensure continuous monitoring of sell out data and cost effective orderbook conversion.
? Build strong relationships with all internal stakeholders - sales, brand, logistics and finance teams.
**Education & Experience Requirements**
? Essential: Matric
? Desirable: Relevant business/retail tertiary qualification
? Essential: 5+ years relevant sales management experience within the wholesale channel in a retail environment, with 3 years in export sales (African region).
? Essential: Knowledge of the SADC and general African market, in terms of relevant legislations and consumer behavior patterns
? Essential: Is willing to travel internationally, across Africa
? Essential: Valid passport, driver’s license and own vehicle
