- Relevant BTech or Degree qualification in Management, Public

Administration and Project Management
- 6 - 8 years’ relevant experience as per KPA’s below
- At least 5 years’ appropriate experience at managerial level
- A valid drivers’ license
- Computer Literacy essential including SAP
- Exposure to a Solid Waste Management environment will be

advantageous

Key Performance Areas
- Rendering administrative and operational support to all four areas

of Collections and Drop Off
- Rendering strategic support to the office of the Manager:
Collections and to the Heads of Collections
- Representing the Branch at various meetings
- Coordinating service needs & service level agreements ensuring

compliance with contractual obligations & contracts & services

are managed effectively & efficiently to minimize disputes &claims.
- Coordinate & motivates refuse waste services for city wide

events ensuring that services are provided & key service

priorities are identified
- Managing SAP process, coordinate bin changes, allocation

verification, containerization & incomes data ensuring that refuse

collections sub requirements are met.
- Liaising with Heads to identify collections requirements for

sustainable services to the community
- Preparing various reports for the Collections Strategic

Management Team
- co-ordinating departmental plans and operational controls to

ensure efficient and effective refuse collection and drop-off

services
- Providing input into systems, procedures, practices and policies

regarding collections
- Co-ordinating training within the Branch
- Ensuring that all areas of Collections comply with Occupational

Health & Safety requirements
- Analysing statistical data.
