**Position Overview -** Construction Manager, Contract Manager, Environmental Officer, Quantity Surveyor, Health and Safety Officer

**Job Description -**

**1. Construction Manager -**
- Post-graduate and a minimum 3-year Diploma in the Built Environment, with Certified ECSA or SACPCMP.
- Managing the project on behalf of the contractor. Must be full time on site for the duration of the construction contract and programme, particularly when work is being performed or when the Employer's Agent, with reason requires his presence.
- Shall have authority to receive, on behalf of the Contractor, all oral or written communications from the Employer's Agent/ Employer's Agent's Representative or other duly appointed persons.

**2. Contract Manager -**
- Post-graduate and a minimum 3-year Diploma in the Built Environment.
- Managing the project on behalf of the contractor, which includes project management, financial management and contractual related matters.
- Preparation and management of construction programmes, cash flows budgets. The Contracts Manager/Director shall be responsible for the overall management of the contractor’s staff completing the project and shall be the primary contact for the Employer’s Agent and the Employer.
- The Contracts Director/Manager is expected to attend all contract site meetings and is responsible for Health and Safety and overall quality control for the project.

**3. Environmental Officer**
- Bachelor’s degree in Environment Science and Honours with Professional Accreditation in SACNASP
- Review practices and procedures for compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations for the Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, Refuse and Environmental, Water Quality and Water and Energy Conservation Programs.
- Serve as liaison with outside agencies, organizations and government official at local, regional and state levels.

**4. Health and Safety Officer**
- Bachelor’s degree with Certified ACHASM and OHS
- Develop, maintain and review Health and Safety standards and related documentation, based on local regulations, International and Veolia HSE Standards.
- Control and report on HSE practices on site (near misses, incident, hazardous situations...) and participate to their improvement
- Work closely with the other safety officers and in close relationship with the Managers to develop safe and efficient working practices

**5. Quantity Surveyor**
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, construction management or a related field.
- They primarily estimate and monitor project costs, from the early design to the final construction stages. Quantity surveyors monitor ongoing construction projects and ensure they are completed within the projected budget and schedule.
- They work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure a project is cost-effective and meets quality standards.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Experience with building information modelling (BIM) and quantity take off software.
- Familiarity with contract law and construction contracts.
