**In this role you will**
- _ Manages the short-term planning process by converting the 0 - 13-week supply plan into an optimized production schedule_
- _ Set-up and distribute the weekly production schedule based on pre-determined optimal production run sequences, optimal utilization of available resources and deliver plan to production for execution_
- _ Record production results and report to the relevant functions in order to initiate corrective actions and to enhance effective planning_
- _ Monitors, analyzes, and reports performance to schedule of production activities (Conformance to Plan) utilizing information derived from material and production control systems_
- _ Ensure that local ERP system reflects the optimized production scheduled and/or changes to the schedule_
- _ Build and maintain Flexible Repeating Schedule process, reviewed quarterly to refresh cycle based on demand changes and site performance _
- _Coordinate & Facilitate daily supply performance meetings (batch tracking) in order to build strong relationships between different support functions_
- _ Escalate supply related issues to relevant Supply Planner and prepare weekly deck on CTP Root Causes Analysis, Material Availability issues and SOLS events (Stock out/Low Stock)_
- _ Works closely with the Supply Planner to drive the Rough-Cut Capacity Process and ensure that it delivers an achievable plan in the 3-month time period._
- _ Recommend adjustments to the short -term plan to ensure optimal utilization of resources (people, machines and materials)_
- _ Jointly work with Materials Planner to ensure availability of materials to meet the supply plan_
- _ Ensure that all 1st touch procurement processes are implemented, and appropriate action is taken to resolve supplier related issues timeously_
- _ Maintain the relevant master data relevant to scheduling in order to retrieve up to date data for effective planning (batch sizes, shift patterns, crew factor, demonstrated run rates, C/O, product sequence matrix, cycle times, PM, shutdown calendars, product conversion cost, inventory holding cost, asset depreciation, etc.)_
- _ Jointly work with Supply Planning and Procurement to ensure optimum stock levels for both raw materials and components and set appropriate stock levels of inventory_
- _ Implement appropriate measures to ensure we achieve Conformance to Plan, Make Frequency, Manufacturing Lead-time, Site Days Inventory Outstanding & Inventory Reduction Targets and prepare weekly/monthly reports indicating performance against these targets_
- _ Manage phase-out of materials to ensure minimum stock write-off for NPI’s or artwork changes_
- _ Maintain and improve the operating model for the South Africa Supply Chain with all associated Core Commercial Cycle processes (CCC) and systems (eg. SOLS, SAP etc.)_
- _ Drive continuous improvement initiatives to deliver Supply Chain KPI’s_
