- Morning Shift: 08:30 - 14:00
- Afternoon Shift: 14:00 - 19:30
- Store Operating Hours: 09:00 - 19:00

Bella Gelato is a new artisanal gelato and coffee shop opening in March at Table Bay Mall. As a Barista & Ice Cream Sales Associate at Bella Gelato, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing high-quality coffee beverages, serving gelato, baking waffles, handling transactions, and maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the shop. You’ll be the face of Bella Gelato, ensuring every customer leaves with a smile (and a delicious treat).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold coffee beverages with consistency and quality.
- Greet and assist customers with a friendly and enthusiastic attitude.
- Serve gelato and other treats while maintaining portion control and presentation standards.
- Bake fresh waffles and ensure quality and consistency.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the shop, including counters, equipment, and seating areas.
- Restock gelato flavors, coffee beans, and toppings as needed.
- Answer customer questions about flavors, ingredients, and coffee options.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as per shift requirements.

**Training**:
All new hires will receive training in Sea Point and Table Bay Mall to learn how to bake waffles, serve gelato, and prepare coffee to Bella Gelato’s high standards.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a barista is required.
- Experience in retail, food service, or customer service is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- A positive attitude and a passion for great food, coffee, and customer experiences.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and perform light lifting (e.g., moving stock, cleaning tasks).
