Partnerships and B2B Sales Manager

SweepSouth is the largest online marketplace on the African continent for ordering and paying for home cleaning services and other home services. We connect people with experienced, reliable, efficient, and insured home service providers in minutes. We currently operate in major areas of South Africa, including Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Centurion, and Pretoria; we have a presence in Kenya, Nigeria, and Egypt, and we are rapidly expanding into new areas and continents.
We are looking for a **Partnerships and B2B Sales Manager** who will be responsible for running SweepSouth's paid digital marketing channels across all our African markets. You will already have
good relationships with potential partners and clients in Johannesburg and Cape Town. This position will be available immediately. You will be primarily responsible for attracting new business clients for B2B2C partnerships and B2B deals. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual that strives to make a difference.
**Responsibilities**:
- Search for new client leads.
- Manage relationships with existing customers through robust account management.
- Conduct market research (analyze competitors, efficiency of sales strategies, etc.)
- Work on pricing internally with operations and product teams.
- Use account planning tools and marketing research to plan for an effective sales activity, tailoring Sales approach to specific verticals or customer business models.
- Initiate commercial conversations with knowledge about a customer’s business, driving them through negotiation and into closure.
- Identify key stakeholders, their objectives and metrics, and adjust messaging accordingly, by incorporating product and economic drivers to the customer business. Clearly articulate SweepSouth’s business model, key cost drivers, growth paths, and value proposition.
- Establish value with customers before discussing ROI/financial terms by qualifying and quantifying the impact of maintaining the status quo or pursuing competitors’ solutions.
- Create constructive tension by leveraging facts from research, benchmark data, and best demonstrated practices to introduce new ideas that challenge the status quo and reveal to customer high costs and lost revenue they may have been incurring.
- Tailor presentations and commercial insight to customer’s industry, company and contact and deliver relevant messages based on current industry trends that will impact their business.
- Research industry trends that impact all customers and become recognized as a trusted advisor on the industries they serve.
- Continuously ideate and innovate within the Sales space
- Surface insights for business and marketing strategies. Present to senior leadership regularly on Sales plans and results
- Regularly audit competitive strategic analysis, customer/target audience segmentation, and consumer insight development
Requirements (Qualifications, Experience, Technical and Behavioral competencies):
- 3 -5 years of experience in B2B Sales (in managerial role)
- Strong network of potential partners / business clients
- Relevant commercial qualification
- Experience in Startup is a plus
- Self-motivated to meet specific sales goals
- Solid history of decision making, taking accountability, demonstrated competitive spirit and ability to overcome obstacles to success
- Strong interpersonal skills along with attention to detail and follow through
- Customer focus
- Fluency in English
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
- A strong desire to work in an agile and fast-growing startup environment, where working with autonomy and leading the way are critical.
