Our client, a well-established and respected manufacturing company in the plastics industry, is on the hunt for a Machine Operator. You will work with other technical staff to ensure that the factory is running smoothly and efficiently. If you are technically minded and skilled in such a similar environment, then this is the perfect opportunity for you.

You will be responsible for but not limited to:
Ensure all assigned machines are operating safely, efficiently and reliably, according to recommended operating guidelines

Performing necessary mechanical adjustments

Ensure high quality products are produced at all times

Monitoring, reporting and optimizing process parameters

Ability to troubleshoot mechanical or process issues accordingly

Support changeover activities if necessary

Ensure all raw materials required are available and defect free before using them

Monitor material waste and report inconsistencies

Following housekeeping rules and keeping the work are clean according to the cleaning plan

Machines worked with: IMPET, SBM and ISBM machines, mostly plastic extruder machines

**Education / Requirements**:
A minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience within the manufacturing industry

2-year experience in Extrusion plant or plastic

1 year Plastic Experience

Operate and understand polyethylene machinery

Certificate / Diploma be adv.

Experience in the FMCG will be an added advantage

Fluent in English & Afrikaans

**Skills**:
Proven experience as a maintenance technician or relevant role

Team player and ability to maintain a positive attitude in the team

Sound communication skills and ability to give clear instructions when working with the team in making a repair

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R10 000,00 - R11 000,00 per month
