The Warehouse Operations Manager is to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the warehouse operations, inclusive of inventory management.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist in the management of all operations at the Distribution Centre (DC), inclusive of inventory control, health and safety, facility management and resources, administration, space optimization, racking and stacking, and workflow efficiencies.
- Manage staff, supporting the DC Manager in managing time and attendance, performance, and day-to-day aspects.
- Liaise with stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance to company policies, processes and procedures.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Matric, with relevant tertiary qualification.
- 5+ years experience in warehousing, logistics, distribution, or supply chain functions.
- 3+ years' experience in a management role within the warehousing, logistics, distribution, or supply chain divisions.
- Furniture industry experience advantageous.
- Computer Literate in Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Code 8 or 10 license, with own transport.

**COMPETENCIES / SKILLS**
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, techniques and principles.
- Leadership skills and the ability to motivate, inspire and guide team members to achieve targets.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Analytical skills to analyse data, metrics and trends, and to develop strategies to improve performance.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly resolve matters in a manner aligned to the business's values.
- Technical skills and knowledgeable on WMS technology and other relevant technology.
- Knowledgeable on supply chain principles and practices, including inventory management procurement and distribution.
- The ability to remain calm, patient and professional under pressure and when interacting with stakeholders.
- Time management skills and the ability to prioritize.
- Strong administration skills.
