**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Inspecting vehicles and trucks to identify mechanical problems and basic electrical problems
- Performing repairs on engines, brakes, transmissions, suspension systems, fuel systems, cooling systems and other components and replacing worn parts
- Performing routine maintenance checks and servicing on vehicles and trucks
- Overhauls, repairs, and maintains heavy equipment/components which includes trucks
- Comply with all rules, policies, procedures and Human Resources related matters, and conduct oneself in accordance with company rules, comply with Management requirements and complete other temporary work arranged by the leader outside normal production in a timeous manner and with instructions given by Superiors. Be willing to work outside normal working hours when required to

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Matric/ Grade 12 qualification
- 3-5 years’ work experience
- Automotive industry experience is essential

**COMPETENCIES**:

- Comprehensive understanding of automotive mechanical systems and the various vehicle systems
- Technical knowledge of different vehicle makes and models
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair procedures
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Expertise in hand tools and power tools
