Franschhoek Wine Tram is a popular hop-on hop-off tour in Franschhoek that offers passengers a unique and leisurely way to experience the Franschhoek Valley. Passengers journey through rolling vineyards on a double-deck railway tram and an open-air tram-bus, stopping at some of South Africa's oldest and most distinguished wine estates. The tour provides unparalleled views of the valley and vineyards, along with a narration on the history of Franschhoek and wine cultivation in the valley.

**Role Description**

This is a full-time on-site role for a Safety Officer at Franschhoek Wine Tram. The Safety Officer will be responsible for overseeing and implementing occupational health and safety and security. The role will involve establishing and ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff, and property, as well as managing and improving the overall security posture of Franschhoek Wine Tram.

**Qualifications**
- Physical Security and Security Management skills
- Experience in Occupational Health & Safety
- H&S Related qualifications are advantageous
- Knowledge of security best practices and industry standards
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop security protocols
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to security
- Experience in the hospitality or tourism industry is a plus
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in a relevant field or equivalent experience

**Requirements**:

- Willing to relocate and/or commute to the business location
- Own a reliable vehicle
- Hold a valid driving licence
- Able to respond to safety and security situations

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Franschhoek, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

License/Certification:

- B (required)
