**Summary
To implement, maintain and support the SAP Business Application Software and ensure correct adoption, use, exploitation of systems and software to enable business delivery. Provide technical support and leadership on SAP Basis systems including establishing technical architecture, design, standards, and requirements. Evaluating and directing enhancements, and implementing solutions for performance monitoring, data protection and systems configuration management considering design and implementation best practices.

Additional areas include the evaluation and design of interfaces between SAP and external systems.

**Key Job-Specific Accountabilities

**SAP Business Application Software Life Cycle Management **Implement and maintain the multiple SAP instances that comprise the SAP Technical Landscape (development, test, training, and production) using a structured approach that minimises the risk and achieves high reliability, availability, and performance of each SAP instance. Design and implement an optimal SAP configuration to maximize system performance and availability.

**Project Delivery **Participate in the planning and implementation of SAP system upgrades. Contribute to operational projects when adopting and integrating new software and systems Complete operational project deliverables: on time, in budget, to the client’s satisfaction and within quality parameters.

**Skills & Experience
- Work as SAP Technology SME in SAP Basis/BW4Hana.
- Capacity planning of SAP systems.
- Planning, installation, and maintenance of SAP software.
- Implementation of SAP at an enterprise level and performing migrations.
- Proficiency in SAP Basis, traditional DB’s and Hana Administration.
- Provide expertise related to SAP and DB performance, HA/DR, and scalability.
- Monitoring with both ad-hoc tools and automated scripts or procedures.
- Support/recommend reporting, query and analysis tools ensuring efficient SAP/database utilisation.
- Diagnosis of problems and resolution for SAP systems.
- SAP system performance monitoring, alerting (using Solution Manager etc.) and tuning to meet business KPIs.
- Modification of system level configuration to optimize performance.
- Interface with developers and modelers for performance and data access requirements.
- Development of standards and procedures for the SAP environment.
- Consultation with infrastructure teams on configuration best practices etc.
- Stay current with SAP technology developments and techniques, research new software and tools, proactively recommend improvements.
- Evaluation and utilization of software products to assist in the management of SAP eco-system.

**Qualification**
- Minimum Requirements _
- National diploma in IT or minimum of 5 years’ experience as a SAP Basis Administrator
- Preferred/ Advantageous _
- National diploma or degree in IT
- SAP Certified Technology Associate - System Administration with BW4Hana

**Experience**

Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 6+ years of IT experience, including the following:

- 3-years’ experience and in-depth knowledge in 1 or more of the SAP products (ERP, CRM, PI/PO, SCM, EP, MI, BI, Solution Manager, GRC, HANA or Data Services)
- Exposure to working in a Project environment with multiple SAP Landscapes
- Experience in SAP TMS and CTS+

Preferred/ Advantageous
- Proficient in a DBMS product (Preferably Sybase, SQL, DB2, Oracle or HANA)
- In depth knowledge of Solution Manager, SAP BI and HANA products/technologies
- Migration or Management of SAP systems in the cloud
