QA Tester

Job Title: QA Tester

Area: Cape Town, WC

An insuretech platform is looking for a Tester who is passionate about tech start-ups and who has a passion for learning. This is a tight knit team all working together to digitally transform the way businesses do insurance.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO**:

- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
- Monitor debugging process results Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- 3-5 years of experience Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with manual testing tools.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Knowledge of SQL and scripting is a plus Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
- Experience working in a startup environment is a plus Knowledge of Xray, Qtest, Zephyr (any formalized testing tool.
