Enforce implemented engineering strategies and policies
- Adherence to the production plan
- Ensure critical daily maintenance tasks are allocated and safely executed.
- Ensure that shutdown activities are planned, scheduled and executed as per plan
- Continuous improvement of asset care management
- To give direction to artisans and contractors to ensure that the necessary resources are allocated to meet departmental needs.
- Ensure that cost effective and value-added solutions are in place to meet customer needs.
- Assist manager to ensure that health and safety of employees is taken care of.
- Risk rank all tasks issued to employees, and ensure that training is adequate for tasks to be completed.
- Demonstrate ability to institute systems to do PTO which will display level of competencies of teams.
- Enforce all relevant engineering SHE policies, procedures and practices.
- Implement recommendation and remedial measures from internal and internal SHE related incidents to prevent reoccurrence.
- Best practice in line with ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards
- Compile and directly control the working cost budget for engineering activities
- Ensure that capital projects are facilitated within the area of responsibility

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- N6 National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Relevant Technical Qualification (i.e Engineering Trade certificate)
- Engineering Foreman Certificate
- Supervisory Development Program
- Legal Liability Certificate

**Job Type**: Contract

**Salary**: R70,000.00 per month
