**WHAT WILL YOU DO?**

Your role as a Senior Quality Analyst will be to perform both manual and automation testing on our products and write & review test analysis. Reporting into our Architect, but also taking direction from our Scrum Master and Quality Architect, you will work as part of an established team based from our Cape Town office.

This role will offer the opportunity to develop your automation testing skills whilst working with a complex product, able to develop your analysis skills whilst also developing your core QA skills.

**You will have a wide and varied role, but your main responsibilities will include;**
- Analyse software requirements and design test cases.
- Perform manual and automated testing of desktop, web and mobile software.
- Interpret requirements, system architecture and design documents and media.
- Run queries and work with SQL databases at a detailed level
- Maintain and configure your own and shared test environments.
- Work with software build systems and processes and creating and documenting of client releases.
- Work in a collaborative development team, using Agile development methodologies (Scrum).
- Ensure timely and high-quality assurance for our product

**WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE CONSIDERED?**
- 6+ years of experience in analysis and testing complex software systems (technical and functional)
- Educated to degree level, preferably in an IT related field.
- Experience creating and maintaining testing environments.
- Should be able to focus and prioritise testing scope and tasks based on business requirements and risk factors to efficiently meet deadlines
- Advanced SQL query writing, configuration and administration skills.
- An understanding of testing concepts and the role of QA in SCRUM environments
- Be able to work well as part of a team, but also able to motivate yourself and work well independently.
- Be able to pick up new skills and get to know a complex product quickly
- Analytical and logical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for learning and continuous development not only of yourself but of junior members of the team, coaching and mentoring them.
- Experience in web testing and automation e.g. Playwright or Postman advantageous but not essential
- Experience working within the Financial Services/Accounting industry would be beneficial, but is not essential.
