**Purpose of the Job**:
The Business Engagement Manager is responsible for managing the relationship between business and the IT department by providing guidance and advice on business value and opportunities that can be derived from existing and new technology while coordinating service management and alignment between IT and the respective business unit.

**Job Objectives**:
**Execution of the Business Engagement Model**:

- Promote the business engagement function, and manage and continuously improve on the Business Engagement Model
- Collaborate with the Engagement & Strategy Lead to formulate and drive service level agreements with the business units
- Monitor overall business unit satisfaction of IT

**Enable business unit IT strategy**:

- Understand and give input to the individual business units and group functions’ strategy and target operating model
- Understand and give input into current IT Assessment (Application Portfolio, Technology Portfolio) for business unit areas and cross-functionally.

**Manage/Support business unit roadmap**:

- Collaborate with the Innovation team to investigate leading-edge solutions to business challenges and identify opportunities
- Provide input to capacity planning in order for resources to be on-boarded in time.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelors Degree (3 years) / NQF level 7 - IT and Computer Sciences

**Experience**:

- Up to 6 years
- Retail Management / Project Management / Consulting (5+ years)
- Experience in direct engagement and management of senior stakeholders

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Thorough understanding of the global IS technical strategy processes
