Our client is looking for **Registered Nurses (RN) / Professional Nurses (PN) **with proven** THEATRE SCRUB experience. **This is for **part-time shifts** **at a cosmetic surgery** **in **Cape Town (CBD).**

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Degree/Diploma in Nursing (General and/or Midwifery)
- Valid SANC licence
- Must have** own indemnity insurance cover**:

- Must have **own transport**:

- At least 6 months working experience in a **Theatre** environment is essential
- Experience in cosmetic surgery and reconstructive surgery as well as minor Gynaecological and Urology procedures will serve as an advantage
- An additional qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing Science/Diploma in Critical Care Nursing will be advantageous
- Knowledge of clinical procedures, relevant nursing legislation, the Scientific Nursing Process and BCA bundles
- Management of surgical equipment and instruments
- Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols
- Risk Management

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Deliver safe, comprehensive and quality peri-operative nursing care according to Scope of Practice.
- Deliver quality peri-operative nursing care in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team
- Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety
- Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment
- Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
- Create a learning environment that builds staff competence
- Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged
