Requirements
- Matric
- FAIS compliant
- An insurance/ relevant qualification or at an advanced stage of obtaining same
- At least 5-10 years relevant working experience, with some supervisory functions
- A comprehensive understanding of multiple short term insurance products in the Guardrisk Group with specific focus on commercial motor
- A comprehensive understanding of standard and non-standard insurance facilities, with specific focus on aggregates and related facilities
- Sound knowledge of Commercial and Corporate type claims
Duties & Responsibilities
- Control and monitor all aggregates and binder agreements on a monthly basis
- Ensure audits are conducted as and when required
- Analyse audit reports and ensure that audit findings actioned promptly and all issues closed
- Report to Underwriting on a monthly basis on aggregate status,aggregate progress on audited accounts (incl, Salvage & Recoveries) and aggregate sign-off’s
- Control/manage salvage/ stolen vehicles and recoveries ensure refunds to insurer
- Ensure that on new accounts, there is proper communication and alignment of broker responsibilities with all impacted stakeholders
- Ensure mandate is set and adhered to by the party to whom responsibilities are delegated
- Handle/ furnish instructions on all claims exceeding the stopper or mandate
- Report all claims exceeding the stopper or mandate to underwriting
- Identify, track and remedy claims leakage at the respective delegated parties
- Assessing accuracy and quality of usage of the claims system
- Assessing on an ongoing basis process efficiencies in the claims space and recommending solutions to the management team where deficiencies are detected
- Conducting random portfolio reviews across the products to assess capacity and competency
- Implementing generally accepted audit methodology within the quality assurance program
