**About the Role**

Excel Print is a leading provider of large and medium format printing solutions. We pride ourselves on delivering excellence, speed, and precision in every job we do.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate and maintain large format digital printers including UV, latex, and solvent-based systems (VUTEk, HP Latex, Roland, Mimaki, Durst, FujiFilm Uvistar).
- Set up, run, and monitor roll-to-roll and flatbed printing jobs with mínimal waste.
- Manage and optimise print files using RIP software (Caldera, Onyx, Fiery).
- Colour Calibration: Ensuring colour consistency and accuracy across different jobs and substrates
- Setting up print files: Preparing, checking, and optimising print files for production, including pre-flighting and colour correction.
- Perform laminating, trimming, mounting, and finishing work to job specifications.
- Operating plotters for contour cutting and weeding vinyl graphics for signage and vehicle wraps.
- Collaborate with design, sales, and installation teams for seamless production flow.
- Inspecting output for defects, banding, colour shifts, and ensuring standards are met.
- Performing routine maintenance, cleaning, and resolving technical issues to minimise downtime.
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and prioritise tasks to meet tight production schedules.
- Flexible & Reliable: Adapting to changing priorities and maintaining consistent performance.

**Requirements**:

- 3+ years of experience in a large or wide-format print production environment.
- Printer Operation experience: VUTEk, HP Latex, Mimaki, Roland, Durst, and other wide-format equipment.
- RIP Software: Advanced use of Caldera, Onyx, Fiery or equivalent for job set-up, colour management and workflow automation.
- Knowledge of various print media (vinyl, banner, fabric, rigid boards) and their specific requirements.
- Knowledge of colour calibration
- Understanding of end-to-end print production, from job intake to dispatch.
- Health and Safety Awareness: Following best practices for equipment use and workplace safety.
