**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a Security guard to work within the African Basket team in Polokwane within a prestigious, mixed scheme retail shop. Working in close conjunction with your colleagues, management, customers, shoppers and Centre Management team, you will ensure the delivery of a 'First Class service to our customers.

The incumbent will report directly to the Security Head and is required to conduct all activities in alignment with South African Laws and African Basket Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.

The role is a full-time position, which requires the incumbent to be at work 6 days a week, including weekends.

**Responsibilities**:

- The Security guard works actively together with the Stores Supervisor to prevent theft by the customers and also from staff
- To check staff when leaving work and also check when products are delivered to the store
- Inspect and patrol premises regularly
- Monitor property entrance
- Authorize entrance of people and vehicles
- Report any suspicious behaviours and happenings
- Secure all exits, doors and windows
- Monitor surveillance cameras
- Respond to alarms and react in a timely manner
- Provide assistance to people in need
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity
- Submit reports of every suspicious action

**Requirement**
- Not have committed any offences listed in the Private Security Industry Regulation Act.
- PSIRA qualification
- Have completed training at any accredited training centre
- Experience minimum 3 years
- A High School diploma is required

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Polokwane, Limpopo: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

License/Certification:

- PSIRA Certificate (required)
