**Minimum Requirements**
- Grade 12 certificate
- Bcom Degree/Supply Chain Management /Industrial management degree or similar
- 10+ years’ experience in a planning and materials management role
- 5+ years’ management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Follows up, initiates action, quality orientated, good planning and organising skills
- MRP/ERP system, MS Excel, MS Projects and Qliksense

**Main Responsibilities**
- **Order Fulfilment**:

- Manage the MRP system and aid in resolving queries or issues from the MRP system as needed.
- Monthly sales targets are met based on open orders with weekly reports on actual vs planned.
- Create master schedule and update weekly considering material and capacity requirements.
- Orders of similar nature are managed to utilise slow moving stock through stock modification proposals.
- **Expediting**:

- Create and expedite the flow of materials and information within or between departments according to the master schedule.
- Late delivery notifications are expedited and updated daily, manage interaction between Procurement and own area.
- Monitor and act on scrapped items daily and compile reports.
- **Reporting**:

- Weekly targets, non-deliverables and improvements are reported on to management.
- The material and capacity requirements are highlighted to management in monthly report.
- The weekly and monthly statistical forecast reports are generated and submitted to management.
- Progress of sales orders is reported to Internal Sales at the internal sales feedback meeting regularly.
- Dashboards are summarised for quarterly reports.
- **Cost Management**:

- Movement of goods is redesigned to maximise value and minimise costs.
- Rectifications are reduced and are reported on, and departmental forecast/budgets are met and managed.
- Improve stock turns in shop floor, raw materials, consignment locations, branches, and finish goods stock.
- **Materials Management**:

- Optimal inventory stock levels are maintained.
- Material management processes are aligned to commercial business objectives and goals.
- Accuracy of inventory counts in all locations where inventory is held by implementing and managing an inventory control.
- System capable of identifying discrepancies in counts and taking corrective action to guard against inconsistencies in future.
- **Project Planning**:

- Manage life cycle of Projects, generate, and manage Gant charts where required.
- Manage regular project meetings and action points.
- Report on any constraints which could jeopardise project delivery and target fulfilment.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- A 90% original delivery accuracy is achieved and needs to be improved on continuously.
- A 95% revised delivery accuracy is achieved and needs to be improved on continuously.
- Give strategic input for stock levels or other constraints as needed.
- The planning process is analysed, and problem areas are monitored monthly and new processes are proposed where necessary.
- Product lead-times are monitored, analysed and improvements suggested.
- **Managed Team**:

- Manpower capabilities for the department are planned, selected & developed.
- Company HR and Disciplinary policy is adhered to.
- **Quality and Safety Management**:

- Standards of quality expected from reporting areas are defined and managed as per organisational standards.
