- Expert knowledge of **hydro-metallurgical processes and technology**, as well as practical aspects of operation
- Expert knowledge of **pyrometallurgical processes and technology**, as well as practical aspects of operation
- At least **10 years experience in a related role**, of which **5 years should have been at a management level or experience in a functional/specialist area.**:

- Clear security screening record.
- Medically fit to work in the specific business area.

**Advantageous Qualifications**:

- ** Civil engineering and Tailing storage facility exposure**:

- ** Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer**:

- ** Hydro metallurgy experience will be advantageous**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Review and propose/introduce strategies to overcome operational challenges identified through data trend analysis.
- Benchmark group processes.
- Provide technical input into new plant designs and modifications.
- Affirming processing capabilities during yearly business plans.
- Conduct PMR engagement on new hydro metallurgical technologies including zero harm improvements.
- Coordinate and oversee concept and pilot projects in collaboration with research institutions.
- Analyse project data and introduction of new technology.
- Investigate and propose/introduce global hydro and pyrometallurgical best practices.
- Identify deltas or defects in hydro and pyrometallurgical processes and recommend solutions.
- Initiate continuous improvement projects and establish implementation plan.
- Manage and track project progress to completion.
- Ratify hydro metallurgical designs for new PMR projects.
- Ensure alignment of metallurgical project strategies with the organisations long-term vision.
- Monitor project execution and provide coaching and support.
- Assist with technical reviews, and company significant projects
- Conduct coordination and information sharing sessions with technical and operations team members related to project execution.
- Review and approve close out report on project completion indicating achieved improvement.
