Requirements
- Relevant B-Degree
- A higher qualification will be advantageous
- A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in an auditing

environment that relates to Municipal Finances as well as Revenue

Debtors with at least 3 years’ supervisory experience.
- A minimum of 3 years’ data analysis experience in a financial

environment.
- At least 2 years working experience with “R” or Python programs as

well as SQL.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications with Advanced Excel.
- Valid Code B, EB or C drivers licence is required

Key Performance Areas
- Report on trends, customer behaviours and dunning efficiencies, in

order to optimise revenue collection.
- Identify and define the immediate, short and long term objectives

and priorities for the respective units responsible for various debt

management processes within the Service Liaison, Special Accounts

or Debt Management Housing Rental and Leases sections.
- Analyse data pertaining to outstanding debt of the City’s

Customers, debt collection activities and possible debt relief

initiatives.
- Compile dashboards and provide progress reports on debt

collection activities.
- Provide guidance and advice to the Data Scientist team with

regards to the required data to be used for the Debt Management

Dashboard.
- Conduct regular audits on the activities, processes, transactions

and documentation within the respective Debt Management

sections.
- Ensure that internal and external audit queries are finalized within

the required time lines and the required information is supplied.
- Ensure that shortcomings and weaknesses highlighted by the

auditors are rectified and improved upon as per recommendations

made.
- Controlling the Key Performance Areas (KPAs) and critical outputs

of subordinates.
