**Purpose**:

- Lead and manage the Procurement Department and function.

**Responsibilities/Outputs**:
**Sourcing and compliance**
- Devise and implement sourcing strategies using category management
- Project management from inception to implementation
- Management of sourcing events online and offline
- Report preparation for submission to the Procurement committee
- Supplier performance management
- Manage unfavourable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
- Achieve savings targets and company strategic objectives for procurement
- General support to the site procurement teams
- Policy and procedure enforcement

**Contract Management**
- Prepare and update the annual contract register
- Determine the strategy for expiring contracts
- Draft contracts and contract notices
- Lead POPIA implementation for vendors

**B-BBEE**
- Formulate the B-BBEE procurement strategy taking into account the relevant codes and scorecard gaps
- Assist in the development of supplier development projects
- Quality control of the Mpowered tool

**People Leadership**
- Development of the procurement administrator and site procurement teams

**Qualifications**:

- National senior certificate is essential
- NQF Level 7, 3 year Degree / Advanced Diploma in Supply Chain Management / Procurement is essential

**Experience**:

- 5 years’ experience in Procurement and Contracting management is essential
- 5 years’ experience in Mining / Manufacturing environment is essential

**Professional Status**:

- CIPS registration is preferred

**Computer Literacy**:

- Advanced Microsoft Office packages
- Intermediate knowledge of ERP systems and SAP
- Intermediate knowledge of online bidding tools
