Human Capital Business Partner

Looking for a seasoned HRBP who is hands-on and has managed the **‘end to end’ generalist function**, including recruitment & IR. Must come from a **Financial Services background** and preferably (but not essential) have a strong knowledge of the IT sector & corporate IT.

**Role Purpose**

Partner with business to design, develop and implement Human Capital solutions that will enable specific clients within the business unit to achieve their objectives and goals.

**Responsibilities and work outputs**
- Drive the implementation of the HC strategy within the business unit and tailor make solutions to suit the needs of the clients.
- Effective business partnering through building strong relationships and an in depth understanding of the business and addressing their needs.
- Pro-actively manage transactional and transformational Human Capital solutions to be implemented. Active involvement for allocated clients but also support to other teams within the portfolio where required.
- Solid understanding of HC practices within the HR value chain. Manage best practice, advice and recommendations in line with the HC strategy.
- Identify the reasons for challenges within the portfolio and develop pro-active solutions and plans to assist the team to overcome these so that they can be effective and deliver on their goals.
- Responsible to work with leadership and the specialist teams in the Human Capital team (OD, Internal Events and Communication, Project Management, L&D) to ensure optimal people practices.
- Responsible for oversight and management of all employee relations matters.
- Proactively come up with ideas to decrease IR matters over the long term. Partner with IR Centre of Excellence where required. Support leaders throughout the process to ensure substantive and procedural fairness so that they feel educated to make the right decisions.
- Manage integrated and value-added HC solutions in line with the needs of clients.
- Active involvement in engagement and pulse surveys to pro-actively drive solutions to positively impact the business to deliver on its goals and objectives.
- Work closely with leadership as well as the HC team to drive a high-performance culture and climate where employees feel valued and appreciated.
- Work with the HC team to develop leadership interventions to grow and develop the leadership at all levels.

Identify effectiveness and training needs together with line managers and identify suitable solutions.
- Support the business through any change (business, people or process) and work with them to manage change effectively.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices to optimise service offerings, ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Continuously monitor turnaround times and quality standards of human capital work delivered to clients and resolve issues speedily to enhance client service delivery. Manage client query processes and ensure that queries are tracked, accurately resolved and used as a mechanism to improve client service and business processes.
- Identify solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency within the HC team.
- Deliver creative reporting to clients to keep the leadership updated on matters within their business. Reporting that will enable leadership to make the right and best decisions with regards to their people.

**Experience and Qualifications**
- Relevant HR qualification. Ideally a B.Com degree.
- Registration with HPCSA (psychometrist/industrial psychologist) would be beneficial.
- 5-8 years Human Capital business partnering experience.
- Solid experience on all HC practices across the HC value chain.
- Strong Industrial Relations experience would be an advantage.

**Salary**: Up to R700 000,00 per year
